I know I know an updated post is LONG overdue! The last couple of months have just been completely jam packed full of fun. Let's catch up ;)
SEPTEMBER:
Hmm well this month was a disaster between some horrendous classes I ended up taking in the Fall. I did a remake care package deal for Brandon and it was a complete flop. Talk about being disappointed when I worked so hard for it to be a success. It was adorable and had a cute theme that went along with it since it was a " half way there box" heck yes ! 6 months down 6 more to go package.. The box read Oh Were Half Way There ~ Bon Jovi hmm apparently he never heard the song because he was like um thanks for my package it confused me. Poor thing :/ haha take a look it was a remake of this package below.
Well needless to say he was very confused like what the hell did she send me all these stupid crumbled up cookies. They were originally cut in half for representation of being 1/2 way there.. Oh well it's the thought that counts right :)
OCTOBER : Happy Fall Ya'll
October was pretty busy because we took our first trip to Tennessee. The purpose of the trip was to talk to an advisor at the University of Memphis and see about transferring once I move. My dad flew into Memphis and drove us everywhere and we checked everything out. Apparently we stayed in the roughest part of Memphis, but hey that's okay we made it! In the meantime, I decided that going to school in Memphis wouldn't work out for me losing WAY too many credits this close to graduating. After a lot of mixed emotions I prayed for guidance on what decision to make in mine and Brandon's life after marriage. We have been separated almost our entire relationship and we were both so disappointed to know I might have to stay in Alabama to finish school. Thankfully I remembered God has a plan and he will always guide me in the right direction. We just have to listen! So after much deliberation I decided to stick it out at South Alabama and my last semester will be Summer 2014 yay! So I still get to move with Brandon and come home to graduate in December which worked out perfectly.
'Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, This is the way; walk in it.' (Isaiah 30:21)
NOVEMBER:
By far the best month of the entire year! Everyone knows that Christmas is my favorite time, but not this year because Brandon came home to visit! Our time spent together honestly gets better and better each time we are together. Oh my we were in the same zip code for the first time in a LONG time. I even gave up black Friday for this kid it must be true love;) We made about 3 trips to Bass Pro Shop needless to say he was a little obsessed with the place.
We went to the Gator Alley Boardwalk in Daphne,
and for the first time ever we didn't see anything!
That's okay though Brandon got a pretty good scare
from a very photogenic alligator at the entrance
..that's why I love him ! We also went to the
Battleship and he really had a good time looking at
everything and being a typical guy.
With all good things they must come to an end right? So we had to say goodbye once again :( It was by far the hardest time for me don't ask me why because he comes home again in a little over a month. In March when he left until November ah no big deal took it like a champ.. well for the most part! Who knew him leaving for a month would really bother me so much? I guess it's just the fact that we don't take a minute together for granted. Our relationship may be weird to some people and even some believe it's full of cheating and lies. That's definitely a stigma that's attached to long distance relationships, because we are the strongest out of some couples that see each other everyday. I think being separated by distance has allowed us to appreciate our time together and the fact that it's a privilege to be with the one you love everyday! We definitely plan to spend everyday like he leaves the next, because everyday is a blessing.
DECEMBER:
With this month nearing its end I can say that I'm very blessed. Brandon left at the beginning of December and my dad came home a few days later. AGH! Seems like they are always flying at the same time always in opposite directions. With all of the craziness going on shopping and getting everything perfect for Christmas a lot of people just forget the true meaning. We had our normal Christmas traditions with my parents and everything, but then my dad had to be back on his way to work Christmas day. It was a little harder than usual just with it being a time for togetherness and family time, but he left completely unselfishly. I know Brandon misses his family so much and being all alone for Christmas is definitely no fun. Well in the meantime I tried to keep his mind off of being lonely and sent him a picture with every gift I opened . We got a lot of house items which we were super thankful for and happy about :)
In January Brandon and I are going to meet up in Tennessee to find a house! We are super excited to see where we will end up living for the next few years . He better get ready to help me make these Pinterest boards come to life !
Last, but most definitely not least meet Miss Lucy.. I rescued her from an animal shelter in Mobile since Brandon has mentioned on many occasions wanting a dog. Isn't she just adorable :) She now has a FURever home with us !
Thanks for stopping by:)
