                                                   Brandon John Gehringer

 I'm from a little town called Hampshire, Illinois about 45 minutes away from Chicago.  Never would I have thought that I would meet the girl of my dreams from Mobile, Alabama or for that matter anywhere from the south.  Let me tell you a little about myself so you can understand why Kayla and I are so in love.  I joined the Navy on April 15, 2009 in Great Lakes, Chicago.  I've traveled the world front and back.  I've been to places I never thought I would go while I was still growing up.  I've been to Africa, China, Japan,Misawa, and Okinawa (two different islands) Bahrain, Hawaii, Florida, Canada, and Italy.  So you can definitely imagine the things that I've seen during my time in the military. I like to joke around a lot and I think that's why me and Kayla get along so well.  I have 2 brothers and 3 sisters that I love with all my heart and would do anything for.  My parents mean the world to me and because of them I'm the man I am today.  Now onto me and Kayla..   From the moment I set my eyes on Kayla I knew she was "the one".  We met through a friend of mine and I'm so glad that we did!  Yes, we have had our ups and downs due to the distance, but that has only made our relationship stronger.  She's the sweetest most loving woman I have ever met and I thank God I found her.  I believe it was fate that brought us together and for that reason I'm going to do everything in my power to make her the happiest woman alive.  She is my entire world!  She has definitely kept me strong being away for so long.  She always knows the right things to say and she is always finding ways to make our relationship stronger and stronger.  Without her I don't know what I would do.  I love her with all my heart and I feel like the luckiest man in the world to have her for the rest of my life.  I can't wait to meet everyone in her family!  :)

Let's see...
So as you know I started this blogging journey for everyone to follow for our wedding planning progress. Not that I'm not busy with all of my other projects! Of course, I would add one more thing to my list of daily chores :) Well for starters I'm 21 years old and a student at the University of South Alabama. My major is Social Work with a minor in Sociology and Psychology. I was an Elementary Education major for my first three years of college, until I decided to change majors to help others instead of educate.

Home is where the heart is right? Ask anybody I am such a homebody just content staying home watching lifetime movies all weekend. The people you will find right by my side is my family. My sister Holly Brooke is 18, and my little brother Tyler is 15.  I have no clue where would I be without my family? They keep me motivated and moving toward my goals that's for sure. Without God I would be nothing, It is God that makes me good enough. LOVE that quote and describes my life so perfectly! As for my relationship with Brandon he was definitely love at first sight for me! I knew pretty much 99% sure that he was the one, but when my mom met him she only went on and on for days about how impressed she was with him. SO.. after all of that deliberating I decided if mom likes him I love him:)

Letting the secrets out of the bag:
In my spare time I like to bring those pinterest boards to life. Ha they rarely turn out right. Um I practice burning things in the kitchen regularly, because my cooking skills are lets see non existent. Oh yeah don't forget about my Disney obsession I am a HUGE fanatic. Brandon and I should probably just buy a timeshare already and be done with it .  ;)
